Accessed only by boat and seaplane
It is a vibrant, growing community of about 1300 people.
But, there's a big challenge. There is no purpose-built rental accommodation on the island.
Mayne Island Housing Society is committed to help fill that need.

Cause

Mayne Island Housing Society is developing affordable rental housing to address the housing crisis in our community.  These 10 units will provide secure housing for seniors, families, work force and retired residents of Mayne Island in housing need. The rezoning approvals have been provided and subdivision is anticipated in the coming weeks.

Proceeds from the lottery will be used for program development, community engagement, and operations of the Society including support for website redesign to our to allow for easy access to information and for ease of clients to register for the housing waiting list. The funds will also contribute to the ongoing management and administrative costs incurred by the Society.
