Raffle 2023: Support affordable housing on Mayne Island. It takes a village.

  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

    1 for $20.00; 600 tickets
    6 for $100.00; 480 tickets

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: September 2, 2023 at 8:00:00 p.m. PDT

    Draw
    Prize Raffle draw: September 2, 2023 at 9:00:00 p.m. PDT

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    Draw will be held at Mayne Island Agricultural Hall, 430 Fernhill Road, Mayne Island, BC V0N 2J2

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All members of the public are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://mihs.rafflenexus.com/winners on September 2, 2023.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Mayne Island Housing Society.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Mayne Island Housing Society or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy

    Mayne Island Housing Society does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  6. 6. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: mihousingsociety@gmail.com. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  7. 7. Delay in Draw

    Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email.

  8. 8. Other

    Please email our team at mihousingsociety@gmail.com should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

Mayne Island Housing Society is developing affordable rental housing to address the housing crisis in our community.  These 10 units will provide secure housing for seniors, families, work force and retired residents of Mayne Island in housing need. The rezoning approvals have been provided and subdivision is anticipated in the coming weeks.

Proceeds from the lottery will be used for program development, community engagement, and operations of the Society including support for website redesign to our to allow for easy access to information and for ease of clients to register for the housing waiting list. The funds will also contribute to the ongoing management and administrative costs incurred by the Society.
